KELLOGG, DUKE FUQUA

No one from my far stretch of the family has stepped foot abroad for their education. And for one such as me, stepping foot in the tricky yet prestigious land of the US for my MBA was a big step.

No one from my far stretch of the family has stepped foot abroad for their education. And for one such as me, stepping foot in the tricky yet prestigious land of the US for my MBA was a big step. I was nervous about even the most basic things – what to fill in the form, in this field, what to ask for in recommendations – and yet, I was fortunate to find my guidance partner in Niketa.

Niketa and I started interacting a couple of years back when I was applying in R2, as an overrepresented candidate in US T-10 schools. Over the course of the next 1 year, our work together led me to be selected/ waitlisted in 9 out of 10 T-10 schools in my second year of application in R1. I had final offers from Kellogg, Fuqua, Ross, NYU Stern, and Darden. I will be joining Kellogg this fall, but this was very much possible due to the rich guidance of Niketa, who from day-1 promoted an eagerness to know your story and help you narrate it in a way most authentic to you.

This is not as common in the MBA consulting space as I hear from other friends. She guides you to select your schools, your strategy for each, and if there are any synergies between schools. Honestly laying it out -> getting more no. of schools for a higher service check is NOT on her mind. She even went out of her way to help me in my waitlisted period (which is brutal) without any hesitation or expectation.
